I’ve come across information for a few more events for New Year’s Eve that I want to pass along. Look back at yesterday’s post to get the full list. If you know of more events, pass them along and I’ll post them tomorrow.
December 31
Feeling the need for a creative outlet before the big party plans? Ms. Artsy Pants will be hosting an open paint session from 7pm until 9pm. Ms. Artsy Pants is located in Hazelwood.
The Haywood Dancers will be hosting a dance at Angie’s Dance Academy in Clyde. The dance begins at 8 with music by the Steve Whiddon Band. Refreshments are included in the $15 fee. Reservations are encouraged by calling 828-734-8063.
The Rendezvous Restaurant and Lounge in Maggie Valley will have music with the Michelle Leigh Band along with an hors d’oeuvres buffet during the evening. A champagne toast at midnight will be followed by a breakfast buffet. Reservations are encouraged at 828-926-0201.
Hurley’s Creekside Dining and Rhum Bar will be hosting a New Year’s Eve bash featuring surf and turf. Music will be provided by Rob Murdock and his quartet. Reservations are suggested by calling 828-926-1566.
Pub 319 in Waynesville will be hosting an event with live music and champagne.
The Grandview Lodge will host a disco party with DJ On Your Feet Productions. Cocktails start at 6 with a full dinner menu available starting at 8pm. Call 828-456-5212 to make reservations.
Tipping Point Tavern on Main Street in Downtown Waynesville will be hosting an event with live music and champagne at midnight.
The Watering Hole will be hosting a DJ to go along with pool tables and champagne at midnight.
Laurel Ridge Country Club will have dance music from Orange Krush, food and champagne. Call 828-452-0545 for details and reservations.
If gospel music is more your style, Thad Woods Auction will host the event for you with Gem City, The Carolina Crossmen, The Marksmen and Mountain Faith performing live. Tickets are $10 with concessions available until midnight. You may reserve your seat by calling 828-456-3298 or purchase at the door.
January 3
For later in the week, the Dulcimer U Winter Weekend is January 3-6 at Lake Junaluska Assembly. The event at the Terrace Hotel is sponsored by Western Carolina University Continuing and Professional Education. Registration is required at http://dulcimeru.edu

Frog Level Auctions at 255 Depot Street in Waynesville will host their weekly personal property, estate and benefit auction beginning at 6pm. These are booked dealer sales. For more information call 828-775-9317.
